She has an older
brother, Austin Hoffman, a 22-year-old senior at South
Dakota State University and a younger sister,
Elizabeth Hoffman, an 18-year-old freshman at the
University of South Dakota.
Alexandra is no stranger to pageants. She was Miss
South Dakota Teen USA 2006 and went on to compete
at the Miss Teen USA pageant in August of 2006. She
enjoys meeting new people and growing as an
individual through pageants. Her friends would
describe her as hilarious and down-to-earth. She
considers her family as her motivation because of the
never-ending support and encouragement they have
provided throughout her life.
One thing the public may not immediately realize
about Alexandra is that she grew up on a cattle ranch
in north-central South Dakota where she performed
chores with her dad, wore muddy cowboy boots, and
operated a 7410 John Deer tractor. Alexandra also
enjoys being outdoors, traveling, watching movies,
and spending quality time with her family and friends.
As Miss South Dakota 2008, Alexandra will travel
throughout the state making school appearances to
promote her personal platform entitled "Don't Risk It:
Keep Sports Healthy" and participate in fundraising
events for various businesses and organizations. She
plans to withhold her education and swimming career
for a year to fully devote her time to the
responsibilities of being Miss South Dakota.
